Rebecca Mountain 50 Miler
Rebecca Mountain 50 Miler is a trail running event in Sylacauga, Alabama, organized by Pinhoti Trail Races. The event offers three distances:
- 50 Miler, point to point from Porter’s Gap to Lake Howard on the Pinhoti Trail
- 50K, following the same early course as the 50 Miler then diverging
- 25K, a lollipop course on the Sylaward Trails starting and finishing at Lake Howard
The 50 Miler covers single track, forest service roads, and Sylaward Trails with about 5,171 feet of elevation gain and a point to point finish at Lake Howard. The 50K shares the first 19 miles of the 50 Miler before using FS roads and Sylaward Trails for the finish. The 25K uses Sylaward trails and Bill’s Creek Loop with an out and back to the finish.
Packet pickup is available at Lake Howard on the Friday before the race and on race morning at the race starts. Bus transportation from Lake Howard to Porter’s Gap is available for purchase for a fee. Parking at the Porter’s Gap start is limited and attendants will assist with parking on race morning. Restrooms are available at the start and finish. Results will be posted online. Awards include top overall and age category places and a medal for all finishers.
