Reaper's Run : Anstruther
Reaper’s Run is a Halloween-themed 5K taking place in Anstruther on 31 October 2026. Organised by Reaper’s Rum, the event starts and finishes outside The Ship pub and uses a looped course that runs around the harbour and up Lovers Lane.
The route comprises three laps and covers 5K / 3.1 miles in total. Fancy dress is encouraged and prizes will be awarded for the best Halloween costumes. Every finisher receives a specially commissioned Reap the Night Halloween medal. Male and female race winners each receive a bottle of Reaper’s Rum, and spot prizes including hoodies may be awarded along the route. Music will play on the harbour during the event.
After the run, participants wearing a race bib can claim a free Reaper’s Rum at The Ship; under-18s must be accompanied by an adult and will be offered a soft drink instead of alcohol. The entry fee is £12, redeemable for Reaper’s Rum at The Ship. All profits from the event will be donated to the RNLI.
Entries close on 29 October 2026 and the event has a total of 200 places. Registration and number collection take place on the day at The Ship. Parking in Anstruther can be limited; organisers recommend the car park behind the Coop and a short jog to the race start. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
