Rattlesnake Trail Run
The Rattlesnake Trail Run is a multi-distance trail event held in Sweetwater, Texas. The event takes place over two days in March and features routes that cross private ranch land located east of Lake Sweetwater. Participants can choose from several distances available on both Saturday and Sunday, with the exception of the full marathon which is held only on the first day.
The event offers the following distances:
- 26.7 miles (Marathon)
- 13.8 miles (1/2 Marathon)
- 6.3 miles (10k)
- 3.3 miles (5k)
The courses are set on natural terrain through ranch property. Specific route details are released to registered participants shortly before the event date via email and social media updates. The location for the event is 326 FM 2035 in Sweetwater.
The event recognizes top finishers in various categories. For the marathon distance, podium prizes are awarded to the top five male and female finishers. For the half marathon, 10k, and 5k distances, prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers. Buckles are also included as part of the prize structure for participants.
