Rattlesnake Dick
Rattlesnake Dick is a trail running event in Cool, California, with a staging area at 7200 Saint Florian Court. The event offers multiple distances on marked courses with published maps and elevation profiles.
The event includes:
- 50K : 4,700 ft elevation gain and loss
- 25K : 2,100 ft elevation gain and loss
- 10K : 1,060 ft elevation gain and loss
Courses feature aid stations; some stations are full service and others provide water only. The 50K course uses several aid points including No Hands, Portland Avenue, Oregon Bar, and Rattlesnake Bar, with a turnaround at the equestrian lot. Trekking poles are allowed. Packet pick-up is offered early on Friday at the Placer County Visitors Bureau and on race morning at the Cool Staging Area. Parking fees are not included in registration; participants must display a Golden Poppy Pass or purchase a day use pass for $10 in cash. All participants receive a North Fork Clothing event shirt; finishers within the stated time limits receive a weighted finisher medallion. Top-three men and women in each distance receive custom trophies.
