The Ratingen New Year's Run is a traditional event organized by ASC Ratingen West, held on the first Sunday of the new year. The run attracts up to 2000 participants who compete on a circuit around the Ratingen marketplace. There are various competitions, including a Bambini run for children, student runs, and main runs over 5 km and 10 km.
