Raquette River Marathon and associated races
The event in Potsdam, New York features a marathon, half marathon, 10k and 5k that follow the Raquette River along River Road and start and finish at the Potsdam Arena. The certified USATF course is measured for Boston qualifying.
Distances include:
- Marathon: 26.2 Miles
- Half Marathon: 13.1 Miles
- 10k: 6.2 Miles
- 5k Fun Run: 3.1 Miles
The course contains rolling hills. Aid stations with water and sports drink are placed approximately every 1.5 miles and also at the start and finish. Restrooms are available at the start and finish, with portable toilets located near the half and marathon turn-around points. Parking is available at Pine Street Arena. Pre-registered athletes receive a swag bag with a bib and pins, t-shirt, sports drink, granola, fruit, and other items; shirts are guaranteed only for those who register at least two weeks before race day, then available while supplies last.
Registration opens July 7, 2026 and closes October 7, 2027. Listed entry fees are $60 for the marathon, $45 for the half marathon, $35 for the 10k, and $25 for the 5k. Half marathon and marathon finishers receive medals, and 1st through 3rd overall male and female podium awards are planned for those races.
