The event includes live, virtual, and hybrid options for the half marathon and 5K. Distances
- Half marathon - 13.1 miles
- 5K-ish - around 3.1 miles
Format, registration, and fees
Both distances are offered as in-person and virtual events. The half marathon is also available as a hybrid: participants may complete 10 miles on a course of their choosing before the event and finish the final 3.1 miles with the in-person 5K pack. Youth entrants aged 8 to 17 may choose a low-cost youth 5K or half-marathon entry; youth half-marathon entrants are not eligible for age-group or overall placement awards. Registration fees increase on January 1, 2026, and youth/young adult discounts apply during the stated registration window.
Course, services, and awards
The half-marathon course is an out-and-back, on-road route with two steeper hills and refreshment stations. The 5K route uses on- and off-road sections through the Village of Canton and St. Lawrence University trails. All registrants receive a long sleeve shirt; in-person and hybrid participants receive a wooden finisher's medallion. Placement prizes and age-group keychains are offered for the in-person half marathon; no placement prizes are offered for 5K participants. The event is open to wheelchair athletes, special needs strollers, and certified service animals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
