Ranger Ultras PB137km Trail Challenge
The Ranger Ultras PB137km Trail Challenge is a self-contained trail event on the Pennine Bridleway covering 137 km with a 50 hour overall cut-off. The route follows established trails and rights of way through West Yorkshire and North Yorkshire moors, finishing in Cumbria. Total ascent is 3275 metres. Sections include runnable trails and some technical ascents; route finding is generally straightforward and waymarked. Organisers do not add extra signage for environmental reasons. GPX files and navigation notes are provided to all entrants in advance.
Support and facilities include indoor registration and bunkroom accommodation on the pre-race evening, an indoor midway checkpoint with hot meals, showers and sleeping space, access to personal drop bags at the midway checkpoint and at the finish, and a comfortable hostel finish venue with beds, showers, refreshments and a hot meal. The Ranger Safety Team provides on-course support, water at regular locations and trackers are issued. Meals at indoor checkpoints offer a vegetarian option and a meat or fish option; some meals may contain common allergens.
Entry is limited to 20 participants and the minimum age is 20 years on the event date. Finishers receive eco-medals and trophies are awarded for top finishers in designated categories. All participants receive the same level of on-course support and facilities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
