2026 Ranger Ruck
The Ranger Ruck is an annual athletic event held in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. The 2026 edition marks the fifth year of the competition, which takes place on a route measuring 6.2 miles (10 km). The course begins at the UWSP Marshfield Clinic Champions Hall and proceeds through the Schmeeckle Reserve before returning to the starting point.
Participants may choose between several modes of movement:
- 6.2 Miles Ruck (carrying a weighted pack)
- 6.2 Miles Run
- 6.2 Miles Walk
Those participating in the ruck category are required to carry a weight of 35 pounds. The event recognizes high-performing participants by awarding prizes to the top three finishers in the Ruck category and the top three finishers in the combined Run/Walk category.
All registered individuals receive an event t-shirt and a goody bag, which are distributed during packet pick-up. Following the physical portion of the event, a vendor fair is held on-site. The proceeds and fundraising efforts associated with this race support Cadets in their participation in external team-building events, such as the Army Ten Miler and the Bataan Death March.
