Ranelagh 10K
The Ranelagh 10K is a chip-timed, two-lap road race based at Riverside Drive Open Space in Richmond (TW10 7QA). The course is described as flat and runs along the Thames towpath through Ham, passing Teddington Lock, and uses the same loop twice before finishing on Riverside Drive.
The event is open to runners aged 15 and over and is Racecheck Gold rated for 2024 to 2026. It forms part of the Surrey Road League and incorporates the Surrey 10K Championships, together with Ranelagh Harriers’ Summer Road Grand Prix and 10k Road Championships.
On-course support includes kilometer markers, marshals at all turns and lead, roving and tail bikes. Water is provided in paper cups at approximately 2.4 km and 6.5 km, and a refill station is available at the start and finish. Facilities at Race HQ include staffed bag drop, portable toilets and post-race refreshments. Every finisher receives a unique Ranelagh 10K patch and entrants receive a goody bag.
Prizes cover podium positions, age-category winners and team awards, with a £100 prize for breaking the current course records. There are additional spot prizes and a PB draw subject to verification. The race is not run on closed roads; participants must keep left and follow the Highway Code. In-ear and over-ear headphones are not permitted; bone-conduction headphones are allowed. Some sections have uneven surfaces and are not suitable for wheelchair users. Entry fees are non-refundable except for pregnancy, with limited transfer options available.
