Randall's Run/Walk for the Gym
The 24th annual Randall's Run/Walk for the Gym takes place in Springvale, Maine. This community event features a selection of distances to accommodate different participants:
- 5K Race/Walk
- Fun Run (for ages 9 and under)
The 5K follows a fast out-and-back course. The race begins at Nasson Common near the library, proceeds up Main Street to Heidi Street, turns around, and returns to the Nasson Community Center. The Fun Run for children is held in the parking lot prior to the start of the main event.
The event includes professional electronic timing by Split-Time Race Management. Competitive categories are divided into five-year age groups reaching up to age 90, with awards provided three deep in each group. Overall awards are also presented to the top two male and female finishers. Additionally, specific awards are available for residents of Sanford and Springvale who indicate their residency during registration.
The first 100 entrants receive T-shirts. Registration discounts are offered for younger participants aged 1-12 and for senior participants in various brackets up to age 99.
