Rainier to Ruston
Rainier to Ruston is a team relay held on June 6, 2026, that runs from the base of Mount Rainier at Fairfax to the Ruston Way waterfront in Tacoma. The course covers roughly 50 miles and is divided into 12 legs that teams share.
Teams may consist of 2, 3, 4, or 6 runners. Team captains register and pay the entry fee of $85 and then invite members to complete their registrations. Registration for the team entry opens on January 9, 2026 and closes on January 17, 2026. Teams are expected to provide reasonably sized vehicles to serve as support crew during the relay.
Legs can be assigned to team members in any order the team chooses. Awards include Rainier to Ruston spikes across multiple categories. Costumes are optional. At the finish area on Ruston Way teams can expect food service and a beer garden for participants and their crews.
