Rainier Raid - Packwood, WA
Rainier Raid is an adventure race held in the Packwood community near the base of Mt Rainier. Founded in 2024, the event is organized by Bend Racing in partnership with CrossFit Fort Vancouver and is scheduled for June 5-7, 2026.
The event offers two timed divisions: a 36 hour premier division and a 12 hour novice division. The race format includes options to skip stages, and the organizers describe the event as accessible to both beginners and competitive athletes.
The course combines multiple disciplines and varied terrain. It features scrambling, single track mountain biking, and class 2 white water packrafting. Organizer ratings for disciplines are given as follows: MTB 6/10, Trekking 5/10, Endurance 9/10, Navigation 7/10, Canyoneering 3/10, WhiteWater Packrafting 3/10.
Standard ARWS mandatory equipment is required. Entry fee is stated as $325 per person and veterans receive 20% off. The event will serve as a USARA and AR World Series Regional Championship. Newsletter #1 will be issued two months before the start. Winners receive a free entry to USARA Nationals and the Rainier Raid Trophy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
