Race Overview
The Dark Divide Trail Races are held in the Gifford-Pinchot National Forest near Randle, Washington. The event takes place within the Dark Divide Roadless Area, a remote region of the Washington Cascades covering more than 70,000 acres. The race headquarters and start-finish area are located at the Cispus Learning Center.

- 100 Miler endurance run featuring a 48-hour cutoff.
- 100K point-to-point course starting at Wright Meadow.
- 50K trail race.
- 14 Mile Fun Run.
Course Details
The terrain is characterized by steep, technical trails and serrated sub-alpine ridges. The routes pass through temperate rainforests, old-growth timber, and meadows. Runners encounter technical footing and views of surrounding glaciated volcanoes and waterfalls. The 100 Miler distance serves as a qualifying race for the Hardrock 100 Endurance Run.
Facilities and Location
The Cispus Learning Center provides various amenities for participants, including showers, a kitchen, and bunkhouses with beds. There is also space for car, tent, and RV camping near the site. The event is conducted under a Special Use Permit from the U.S. Forest Service. The location is approximately two hours and 15 minutes from Portland and two and a half hours from Seattle.
