Rainbow Ridge 20k/50k : October 10, 2026, Rainbow, OR
This event offers two trail race distances in Rainbow, Oregon: a 50K and a 20K. The 50K course includes over 8,000 ft of total climbing and crosses multiple mountain summits. The 20K route climbs about 2,600 ft to the Kings Castle summit and returns largely downhill.
Courses pass through old growth forest and offer expansive viewpoints at Horsepasture Mountain, Macduff Mountain, and Kings Castle. The 50K begins with a shuttle to the Olallie North trailhead and contains long aid-less stretches, several technical sections, and steep descents that drop about 2,700 ft in the final six miles.
Aid stations and cutoffs are provided along the 50K course, with named stations and mile markers including a final cutoff at mile 32.4. The 20K has aid at Rd 480 / Kings Castle at miles 3.85 and 7.9. Drop bags are allowed for 50K runners and will be staged at the community center and delivered to O’Leary / Castle Rock aid stations.
Packet pickup is scheduled for Wednesday, October 7 at Salvation Nutrition, 2001 Franklin Blvd, Suite 5, Eugene, OR, from 4–7pm. Race day pickup and runner check in occur at the community center; 50K and 20K windows are noted separately. Two shuttles run to the 50K start; the ride takes about 15–18 minutes and the start area will have facilities and snacks.
