Rails to Trails 5K - Watertown
The Rails to Trails community celebration spans Friday, July 24 and Saturday, July 25, 2026, with the 5K Run/Walk and a Kids 1/2 Mile Fun Run taking place on Saturday, July 25, 2026.

Registration is online only and opens in May. Early registration fees apply through end of day July 7: $30 for the 5K and $15 for the kids run; later registration is $35 and $20 respectively. Pre-registered participants are eligible for event T-shirts. The event offers a $1 discount for sharing the race on Facebook before checkout and a $5 race credit for each referral who registers with a provided referral code, with full registration credit if six people register via the same code. Race registrations are non refundable and non transferable.
The 5K begins at the local veterinary clinic and the kids run is held on the Luce Line Trail. Packet pick up is available Friday, July 24 from 5pm to 7pm at the corner of Lewis and Madison Street SW in Watertown, and Saturday, July 25 from 7am to 7:30am near the Luce Line Bridge by Marketplace Foods.
Proceeds from the race will be donated to the Watertown BIO Girls program. BIO Girls is a 12 session program for girls in grades 2 to 6 that combines a faith based life skills curriculum, mentoring and physical activity and provides about 20 hours of programming.
