Raider Run 5K - Westhampton
The event is a community road and trail running event held at Hampshire Regional High School in Westhampton, MA. The 5K begins and ends on the school campus and follows a well marked course that mixes paved roads with wooded trails and grass. The first mile is on paved roads; the remaining two miles run on narrow, technical trails that wind along a stream, cross a footbridge, and pass around the campus.
A one mile fun run circles the campus and is intended for younger participants. Post race amenities include refreshments, awards, and door prizes. Restrooms are available and there is plenty of parking on site.
Entry fees vary by category, with a discounted student fee for HRHS district students. T shirts are included for the first 75 entrants in the 5K categories. Registration can be completed online or by mailing a printed form with payment to Raider Run, Hampshire Regional High School, 19 Stage Rd, Westhampton, MA 01027.
Proceeds from the event support the Hampshire Regional cross country program by helping fund transportation, meet entry fees, and equipment purchases. The event is supported by multiple local sponsors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
