Race to Raise: Pinedale Half Marathon
The Race to Raise is the culminating event of the Foundation 23 fundraising campaign in Pinedale, Wyoming. The event offers multiple distances and benefits local nonprofits, with $5 from every registration directed to a Sublette County nonprofit chosen by the participant.
- Half Marathon - out-and-back to Fremont Lake campground
- 10K - starts at Fremont Lake Lookout with a downhill then gradual return
- 5K - through town, onto the bike path and a loop in Trails End
- 1 Mile Fun Run - on town streets, free for all ages
Half marathon runners follow mostly paved roads and bike paths to the Fremont Lake turnaround. The 10K begins at a lookout north of Pinedale; buses transport participants from Rendezvous Pointe to that start and use of buses is highly recommended. All races finish at Rendezvous Pointe. Bikes, strollers, and dogs are not permitted on the Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K courses; bikes and strollers are allowed in the 1 Mile Fun Run.
Pinedale sits at high altitude, about 7,185 feet, and the course gains roughly 300 additional feet. Male and female winners in the half marathon, 10K, and 5K are recognized during the community barbecue and receive a $100 certificate to donate to a participating nonprofit. Local nonprofits will be present at Rendezvous Pointe, race merchandise is available at packet pickup and on race day, and the event has a no-refund cancellation policy.
