Race to Empower : May 3, 2026
Race to Empower is a community running event held at UCP of Greater Cleveland, 10011 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, OH 44106. The event offers a family friendly atmosphere and welcomes participants of varying abilities, including those using jogging strollers and wheelchairs.
The course runs through University Circle, Rockefeller Park, and the Cleveland Cultural Gardens. A post-race street fair follows the finish, featuring food trucks, music, and vendor booths.
Events include:
- 5K Run or walk, chip-timed
- 1 Mile Run or walk, untimed and family friendly
Awards are presented to the top male and female finishers and to the top three finishers in each age group: 14 & Under, 15–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, 70 & Over. Official t-shirts are guaranteed for participants registered by April 20. Post-race refreshments are provided.
Proceeds support UCP of Greater Cleveland programs, including LeafBridge and OakLeaf Centers, which provide therapy, employment opportunities, and community inclusion to more than 1,300 individuals each year. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
