Race to Empower
The Race to Empower is a running and walking event taking place on May 3, 2026. It begins at the UCP of Greater Cleveland Headquarters at 10011 Euclid Ave in Cleveland, Ohio.
The event features two distances:
- 5K Run/Walk - This event is chip-timed.
- 1 Mile Run/Walk - This event is untimed.
Both events are open to participants of all abilities. Jogging strollers and wheelchairs are welcome on the course. The course route is described as scenic, passing through University Circle, Rockefeller Park, and the Cleveland Cultural Gardens.
A post-race street fair is planned with food trucks, music, and vendor booths. Awards are given for top male and female finishers, as well as the top three in standard age groups.
The event is a fundraiser for UCP of Greater Cleveland, supporting programs for children and adults with disabilities. Registration includes an official race t-shirt if registered by a specific date, post-race refreshments, and the awards.
