Race The Night Towcester: 4 hour endurance run
Race The Night Towcester is a four hour endurance running event held at Towcester Racecourse on a closed loop that follows the original racing circuit. Competitors aim to complete as many 2.7 km laps as possible within the timed period. Entry options include solo runners, duos and teams of four, with winners in each category decided by total laps completed.
The course uses the former horse racing track and features undulating terrain and natural surface variations. It is not highly technical but requires attention to pacing and footwear. Wide paths and a fully closed loop provide space for passing and relay changeovers.
Relay rules specify one runner per team on the course at any time, with exchanges made by passing a baton at the end of a lap. Chip timing records every lap and a live leaderboard displays results during the event.
