Race The Night Towcester: 4 hour endurance run
Race The Night Towcester is a four hour endurance running event held at Towcester Racecourse on a 2.7 km closed-loop course that follows the original racing circuit. The course is fully closed to traffic, with wide paths and room to pass, and features undulating terrain and natural surface variations from its history as a horse racing track.
Participants aim to complete as many 2.7 km laps as possible within four hours. Entries are available for solo runners, duos and teams of four. Winners in each category are determined by total laps completed. Relay format requires only one team member on the course at any time, exchanges take place at the end of a lap by passing the baton, and chip timing records each lap automatically.
The event includes a race village with live leaderboard and chip timing, a DJ, chill out and social zones, official event photography, category prizes and optional finisher t shirts. Finisher medals, free spectator entry and free on site parking are provided. Food and drink options are available from street food vendors and a licensed bar. An after party is scheduled following the race.
