Race Judicata - Diversey Harbor
Race Judicata is a summer 5K run/walk held in Lincoln Park that benefits the Chicago Volunteer Legal Services Foundation. The course loops around the park along the south lagoon path, continues up to Diversey Harbor, and returns to the field at 1746 N Stockton Drive (Lincoln Park South Groves 2-3). The event includes a post-race gathering featuring live music, complimentary beer, wine and snacks.
Chip timing is used for accurate results; timing chips are disposable and located on the back of runner bibs. Split times will be available on course, and water is offered at the start, on the course and at the finish. The route follows the same path as a USATF certified course (IL-09119-JW). Dogs, bikes, baby joggers and other wheeled devices are restricted on the course until after the walker start; dogs are allowed in the tent area on leash.
Participants receive a commemorative event T-shirt and teams can enter a separate team T-shirt contest judged by a panel. Tent rentals are available for teams and include tables and chairs. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall, top male and female lawyers, and the top three of each age category across standard age brackets. All proceeds go to CVLS general operating costs to support legal services access. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
