Race Judicata Diversey Harbor
Race Judicata is an annual 5K run and walk that benefits Chicago Volunteer Legal Services Foundation. The course runs in Lincoln Park, looping along the south lagoon path up to Diversey Harbor and returning to the field near 1746 N Stockton Drive. The route is USATF certified (IL-09119-JW) and offers split times and water stations on course, at the start, and at the finish. Chip timing is used; timing chips are attached to runner bibs and are disposable.
The event includes an after party on the field with live music and refreshments including beer, wine, and snacks. Teams can create and manage group registrations, choose group payment, rent tents for a reserved team space, and enter a team t-shirt contest judged by a panel. All participants receive a commemorative event T-shirt; additional awards are given to the top three men and women overall, top male and female lawyers, and the top three finishers in standard age categories for men and women.
Packet pickup is offered on specific days prior to race day at Potbelly, 3424 N Southport Ave, and for teams at 33 N Dearborn St, Suite 400. All event proceeds support the general operating costs of CVLS and its mission to ensure legal services are available to more people. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
