Race for YMCA 5K/10K : St. Joseph, MI
The Race for YMCA 5K/10K takes place on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the Margaret B. Upton Arboretum in St. Joseph, Michigan. The event offers both in-person and virtual formats and includes these event options:

- 10K Run - Virtual Option
Proceeds benefit the Benton Harbor-St. Joseph YMCA annual campaign, which provides financial assistance for memberships and programs for local children and families in need.
Registration fees change by date: early registration runs through May 31 ($30), regular registration June 1 through July 16 ($35), and late registration July 17-18 ($40). Shirts are short-sleeved cotton and are guaranteed only for registrations completed by June 21. Packet pickup will be held at the arboretum on race day and includes the race shirt and bib.
The course follows scenic areas along the St. Joseph River, Lake Michigan, Silver Beach, Lions Park Beach, and the Howard Recreational Trail. City streets remain open during the event; participants should stay within coned or barricaded lanes. Limited parking is available at the arboretum; additional parking is available at the Berrien County Courthouse parking lot. Porta-potties will be available. Timing is provided by Classic Race Management and results are posted after the event.
Awards include trophies for overall male and female winners in the 5K and 10K runs, and medals for top finishers by age group and walkers; only in-person participants are eligible for trophies and medals.
Volunteers are used for registration, course direction, water stations, and cleanup. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
