About the race
Race for the Wild is a UK Athletics licensed road and trail event held on Sunday 27 June 2027 on the island of Jersey. The route starts at Victoria Park in St Helier and finishes inside Jersey Zoo in Trinity. The course follows a scenic 12 to 13 km journey along closed roads, managed open roads and traditional green lanes through rural parts of the island.
The exact route is subject to change to comply with the Road Works and Events Licence. The event is professionally managed and marshalled by the Honorary Police of St Helier and Trinity with support from local volunteers and course-side supporters. On course support includes two water stations, water at the finish, bag transfer from start to finish, and medical cover provided by Normandy Rescue. Entries include an official race bib with chip timing, free entry to Jersey Zoo on race day and an exclusive finisher medal. Race for the Wild supports Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust.
For 2027, £5 from every entry plus additional fundraising goes directly to Durrell for global conservation projects focused on species recovery and habitat work. The atmosphere is described as supportive and community oriented, with organisers providing participant information in a runner information pack prior to the event.
