Race for the Wild - Supporting Durrell
Race for the Wild is a professionally managed road race held under a UK Athletics Race Licence. The event takes place on Sunday 12 July 2026 and follows a route from Victoria Park in St Helier through Jersey’s green country lanes, finishing at Jersey Zoo in Trinity.
The race distance is 13K. Runners receive an official race bib, chip timing, an exclusive Race for the Wild finisher medal, free entry to Jersey Zoo on race day, bag transfer from start to finish, and training advice and coaching from Endurance Coaching Crew. The course is fully marshalled and supported by the Honorary Police of St Helier and Trinity. There are two water stations along the route and additional water available at the finish.
Charitable fundraising is part of the event. Five pounds from every entry, plus any additional funds raised, go directly to Durrell’s global conservation work. The stated fundraising target for 2026 is £10,000. Entry types include 13K Standard Race Entry and 13K Affiliated Race Entry for affiliated runners under England Athletics; both include a medal and free Jersey Zoo entry on the day.
