Race for the Wild 13K - Supporting Durrell
Race for the Wild is a professionally managed road race operating under a UK Athletics Race Licence. The event takes place on Sunday 12 July 2026 and follows the course formerly used for the Durrell Challenge. The route runs from Victoria Park in St Helier through Jersey’s country lanes and finishes at Jersey Zoo in Trinity.
The entry package includes an official race bib and chip timing, an exclusive Race for the Wild finisher medal, and free entry to Jersey Zoo on the day of the event. Additional services provided on race day are bag transfer from start to finish and on-course support including full marshals from the Honorary Police of St Helier and Trinity, two water stations along the route, and water available at the finish. Training advice and coaching are offered by Endurance Coaching Crew.
Fundraising is part of the event: £5 from every entry, plus additional funds raised, go directly to Durrell’s conservation work. The stated fundraising target for 2026 is £10,000. Two entry categories are listed for the 13K event: Standard Race Entry and Affiliated Race Entry; both include the medal and free Jersey Zoo entry.
