About the race
Race for the Wild takes place on Sunday 27 June 2027 on the island of Jersey. The event follows a scenic course of approximately 12 to 13 km through closed roads, managed open roads and traditional green lanes, taking runners across several of the island’s rural areas. The route starts at Victoria Park in St Helier and finishes inside Jersey Zoo in Trinity.
The course is fully marshalled with support from the Honorary Police of St Helier and Trinity and local volunteers to help manage safety and route directions. Race entries include an official race bib with chip timing, bag transfer from start to finish, free entry to Jersey Zoo on race day and an exclusive finisher medal. On-course support comprises two water stations, water at the finish line and medical cover provided by Normandy Rescue. The exact route is subject to change to comply with the Road Works and Events Licence; the 2027 distance is expected to be between 12 and 13 km. The event supports Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust.
Five pounds from every entry, plus any additional fundraising, goes directly to Durrell’s conservation work focused on recovering wildlife, reviving ecosystems and reconnecting people with nature. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
