Race for the Place
Race for the Place is scheduled for June 7, 2026 at the Beachwood Place Mall and takes place on National Cancer Survivors Day. The event combines a commemoration for cancer survivors with a fundraising run and walk in support of The Gathering Place.
The program includes a Celebration Village with family-oriented activities, a ceremony for cancer survivors, and an awards presentation. Funds raised support the free programs and services offered by The Gathering Place to help children, teens, adults, individuals, families and friends cope during the cancer journey.
The event offers the following distances:
- 5K run/walk
- 1 mile run/walk
