Race for the Kids
The Race for the Kids is a community event held in Erie, Michigan. Organized by a local non-profit group, the event enters its 14th year in 2026. The primary objective of the gathering is to raise funds for local families with children who are managing severe or life-threatening medical conditions.
Participants can choose from two main activities:
- 5K road run
- Family fun walk
The event takes place at 2238 Manhattan in Erie. Beyond the physical activities, the day includes several community-focused features once the race concludes. Attendees can participate in silent auctions and raffles, with various prizes available for giveaway. The proceeds from these activities and registrations are used to provide financial support to the identified sponsor kids and their families within the Erie community.
The course for the running portion consists of local roads. The event is designed to be accessible for families and individuals interested in supporting a community cause. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
