Fourth Annual Race for Raymond
The Fourth Annual Race for Raymond is a community running event organized by the Hopkinton Police Department. This race supports the Hopkinton Compassion Dog Program, which provides support to those in need and strengthens community relations. This year, the event also supports the Maddie Potts Foundation.
Participants can choose between two event formats:
- 5K
- Virtual 5K
The 5K course is located at Camp Yawgoog in Hopkinton, Rhode Island. The route features a varied surface, beginning on a gravel road and transitioning to pavement for the finish. Runners and walkers are welcome to participate in the event. Friendly, leashed dogs are also permitted to join their owners on the course.
All participants receive a participation medal, and event shirts are distributed while supplies last. For those competing in the in-person event, placement medals are awarded one hour after the start of the race. The Hopkinton Compassion Dog Program depends on donations and fundraising efforts to sustain its operations and community deployments throughout the state.
