Race for Raymond
The Race for Raymond is organized by the Hopkinton Police Department to support its Compassion Dog Program. The program began in November 2022 to foster community relations and is funded through donations and fundraising efforts.
The event features two options: an in-person 5K run/walk and a Virtual 5K. The in-person race takes place at scenic Camp Yawgoog, located at 61 Camp Yawgoog Road in Hopkinton, Rhode Island. The course starts on a gravel road and finishes on pavement. Participants are allowed to bring friendly, leashed dogs.
The entry fee for the 5K is $35, with a reduced rate of $25 for participants aged 0 to 17. Registration for the in-person event closes on May 2, 2026. The virtual race option opens for registration on April 30, 2026. All proceeds benefit the police department's community canine program.
