The course starts and finishes on grass and runs on a mixture of grass and tarmac paths. The route includes uphill and downhill grassy slopes. The meeting point is on the south side of the park, behind the boating lake reception; the organiser provides a what3words location to help find the start area.
Parking is available in the north and south Stanborough Park car parks; parking fees apply and cameras are in operation. Blue badge parking is available in the South Lake carpark. Public transport options include local bus services and the nearest train station is Welwyn Garden City, approximately a 35 minute walk.
The event is deemed unsuitable for wheelchair users because of mixed terrain and slopes. Support features include refreshments, toilets, sunflower wristbands, BSL stage content via QR code, and a Race for Life medal on completion.
