Race for Life Rhyl
Race for Life Rhyl is a running event organised by Cancer Research UK at The Arena on The Promenade in Rhyl, LL18 3AQ. The event offers two distances:
- 10k
- 5k
Entry is open to participants aged 16 and over. Ticket prices listed include an adult rate of £17.49 and a junior rate of £11.00. A minimum fundraising target of £50.00 applies.
The course uses surfaced paths along the seafront promenade. The start and finish are on hardstanding and the overall elevation is predominantly flat. Some sections of the route narrow and the course can accumulate sand in places. Events are chip timed.
Travel notes describe nearby parking facilities rather than on-site parking. General parking is available at Rhyl Central Car Park, about 500 metres from the event, with blue badge parking at Rhyl Pavilion Theatre about 300 metres away. The nearest bus stop is at the Garden of Remembrance, roughly 200 metres from the site, and Rhyl train station is about a 10 minute walk. No cycle racks are available.
Accessibility measures include a wheelchair accessible route due to the flat course, Sunflower wristbands at the enquiries marquee, trained Event Managers, and a QR code for British Sign Language stage content.
