Wirral Pretty Muddy 5k
The event is a Pretty Muddy 5k obstacle course taking place on Sunday 17 May 2026 at Birkenhead Park, Ashville Road, Birkenhead, Wirral CH41 4HY. The course starts and finishes on grass and runs over a mixture of grass and tarmac path. Participants will climb, crawl and slide around obstacles; marshals are positioned on the course to assist and some obstacles may be optional.
Entry prices given are Adults £22.49 and Children £12.00. There is a minimum fundraising target of £50.00. Participants must be at least 13 years old at the time of the event. Separate Pretty Muddy Kids events are available for younger children.
Start waves are staggered every 15 minutes to manage flow on the course. The meeting point is the field behind the Birkenhead sea cadets; what3words location blunt.wing.fall identifies the approximate start area. A QR code for British Sign Language stage content will be available and Sunflower wristbands are provided at the enquiries marquee.
Facilities on site include refreshments and toilets. The event is not suitable for wheelchair users and is not suitable for pushchairs. Dogs are not allowed. There is no designated event parking; limited on street parking is available on Ashville Road. Birkenhead Park train station is about a five minute walk and the closest pedestrian entrance is via Park Road East, approximately 140 m from the event site.
