About the race
The event is a muddy obstacle course of approximately Pretty Muddy 5k set within Graves Park, Cobnar Road, Sheffield, S8 8QD. The route winds through rolling parkland, mature woodland and open fields on paved and compact paths with gentle rises and dips. The central start and finish area is on grass near the animal park, providing space for spectators.
Participants climb, crawl and slide around multiple obstacles along the route. Wave starts are staggered every 15 minutes to manage course numbers; groups should join the same wave. To take part in the main Pretty Muddy event participants must be 13 years or older. Child entry is available for ages 6 to 15 when registered and accompanied by a parent or guardian or an adult over 18 with parental consent. Adults may bring children under 6 free of charge but those children are not registered participants.
Facilities on site include refreshments, toilets and parking. The event is not wheelchair accessible, is not suitable for pushchairs and does not allow dogs. Bag drop and showers are not available. Blue Badge parking is available on hardstanding about 20 m from the event site; general event parking is in the field by the cricket pavilion on Cobnar Road, a 5 minute walk that includes a steep and gradual incline.
