Leicester Pretty Muddy 5k : Braunstone Park
The event is a Pretty Muddy obstacle course of around 5 km at Braunstone Park, Goodings Avenue, Leicester (LE3 1EF). The course is circular, starts and finishes on grass, and runs over a mixture of grass and path through the park. The route and course map are subject to change.
Participants climb, crawl and slide around a series of obstacles. Waves start every 15 minutes to manage numbers on the course. The meeting point is the large field next to Winstanley House.
Age and ticketing details are specified for different participants: child entries are for ages 6 to 15 and must be registered by a parent or guardian or by an adult over 18 with parental consent; children under 6 may attend free with a registered adult but are not registered participants. To take part on the main Pretty Muddy course a participant must be 13 years or older at the time of the event.
Facilities listed for the event include refreshments, toilets and parking. Dogs are not allowed. There is no bag drop, no showers, and the event is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchair users. The start and finish areas are grassy and can be uneven; in wet weather the ground may become soft and muddy. The event organiser is Cancer Research UK.
