About the race
The event is the Pretty Muddy 5k held at Cheltenham Racecourse, contained within the racecourse and starting and finishing on tarmac in front of the grandstand. The course loops around the venue on a mix of grass, woodchip and paths and includes muddy obstacles to climb, crawl and slide. Entries are available for adults and for children aged 6 to 15. Children under 6 may attend free but are not registered participants.
Participants must be at least 13 years old to take part in the main Pretty Muddy event. A minimum fundraising target of £50 applies. Start waves are staggered, with waves beginning every 15 minutes to manage safety on course. Parking is available at the racecourse with access to the start via Gate 21, approximately 100 m from the start area.
Blue Badge parking is provided on hardstanding about 50 m from the event site. Cycle racks are available on the B4705 about a five minute walk away. The nearest train station is Cheltenham and is about an hours walk from the venue. On site facilities include refreshments, toilets and parking.
The event is not wheelchair accessible and is not suitable for pushchairs. Registered participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support and a Race for Life medal on completion. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
