Race for Life Pretty Muddy Cardiff : Pretty Muddy 5k
The event is a Pretty Muddy 5k obstacle course held at Coopers Field, Bute Park in Cardiff on Saturday 02 May 2026. It raises money for cancer research and carries a minimum fundraising target of £50.00.
The course combines tarmacked paths and grassy fields; the start and finish are both on grass. Participants will climb, crawl and slide over a sequence of muddy obstacles. In the event of severely wet weather beforehand, sections of the course can become boggy. Start waves are staggered at 15 minute intervals.
Age and entry details are specified for the event: participants must be 13 years of age or older. Published entry prices are £22.49 for adults and £12.00 for children. The event provides refreshments and toilets on site. It is not suitable for wheelchair users; pushchairs are also not suitable. Dogs, a bag drop and showers are not available.
Venue and access notes: the start line is on the north side of Coopers Field opposite Orchard Lawns and the finish line is on the south side opposite the Gorsedd Stone Circle. General event parking is not available at the venue; limited blue badge parking is available along North Road and within Sophia Gardens car park. Train stations and bus stops are within walking distance of the park.
Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support and a Race for Life medal upon finishing. A QR code and a British Sign Language interpreter will be available on stage. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
