Race for Life Leicester at Victoria Park
Race for Life Leicester is a running event organised by Cancer Research UK at Victoria Park, London Road, Leicester LE1 7RY. Distances available include:
- 10k (double lap course)
- 5k
- 3k
The start and finish are on the largest grass section of the park, opposite the sports courts between London Road and Granville Road Car Park. The route runs on a mixture of grass and tarmacked paths and is described as flat mixed terrain. In wet weather grass sections may become soft or muddy.
The 10k is chip-timed. Facilities listed for the event include refreshments, toilets, a bag drop, showers, and a bike park. The site is described as wheelchair accessible with assistance and suitable for pushchairs. Limited public parking is available nearby; blue badge parking is provided approximately 200 m from the event site and normal parking charges apply. There are multiple bus stops on London Road and Victoria Park Road, and Leicester train station is about a ten minute walk from the park.
The event includes a minimum fundraising target of £50. Earlybird entry prices listed are £8.74 for participants aged 16 and over and £5.50 for children.
