Coventry & Warwickshire Pretty Muddy 5k
Coventry & Warwickshire Pretty Muddy 5k is a charity obstacle event organised by Cancer Research UK at Stoneleigh Park, Kenilworth CV8 2LZ. The course is approximately 5k and includes obstacles that require climbing, crawling and sliding. The start and finish are on grass and the route is a mixture of tarmac paths and grass, with a roughly 1 km grass section that may become unsuitable in poor weather. Course marshals will advise of an alternative route if needed, which can reduce the distance by about 1 km.
Start waves are staggered every 15 minutes. Participants must be 13 years of age or older. The event has a minimum fundraising target of £50. Earlybird entry prices listed are £11.24 for adults and £6.00 for children.
The event site offers refreshments, toilets, parking and bike racks. Parking is free but the designated car park is a 10 to 15 minute walk from the event area and the main venue entrance is a shorter 5 to 6 minute walk from the gates. Public transport links are limited; a local bus route serves Stoneleigh Park and the nearest train station is in Kenilworth, around a 10 minute drive.
Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support materials, access to an online community and a Race for Life medal on completion. The start and finish areas are on grass and may become muddy in wet weather. Wheelchair access is possible with assistance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
