Race for Kids 2026
Race for Kids takes place on June 20, 2026 at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo in Cleveland, Ohio. The event features in-person and virtual options for running and walking. On-site race day includes registration, an awards presentation, and zoo admission for participants.

- 1 mile
In-person events include a 5K run and a 1 Mile walk. The 1 Mile walk allows group registration for up to four people and includes family/group pricing. Virtual options are available for both the 5K and the 1 Mile; virtual participants complete their distance between June 14 and June 20 and submit their time online.
Registration opens March 30, 2026 and closes May 29, 2026. Posted registration fees include a $25 fee for the in-person 5K, $22 for the in-person 1 Mile walk, and $20 for virtual entries. Spectator ticket options are offered with and without a race shirt.
Participant benefits for in-person entries include a T-shirt and free same-day admission to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. Virtual participants receive the event T-shirt by mail prior to event week.
Fundraising is part of the event. Proceeds support programs that provide after-school activities and safe places for children ages 6 to 18 in Northeast Ohio. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
