Event overview
Race for Kids 2025 is an in-person and virtual fundraiser event held at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, 3900 Wildlife Way, Cleveland, OH 44109. The in-person portion is scheduled for Saturday, June 21, 2026. The event includes the following options:
- 5K Run
- 1 Mile Walk
- Virtual 1 Mile Walk
- Virtual 5K Run
- Spectator ticket - with race shirt
- Spectator ticket - shirt not included
An awards ceremony is part of the event and results are posted after the final participant finishes. In-person registration includes a T-shirt and free entry to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo for the day.
Registration, fees and fundraising
Registration for listed events opens on March 30, 2026. Standard fees listed on the event page are: 5K Run $25, 1 Mile Walk $22, Virtual entries $20, Spectator with shirt $21, Spectator without shirt $10. Virtual participants may complete their distance between June 16 and June 21 and submit their time online; virtual entries receive the event T-shirt by mail prior to event week.
Participants and non-participants may set up personal fundraising pages. Proceeds support after-school programs for children ages 6-18 across Northeast Ohio. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
