Event details
Race for Kids 2025 is an organized running and walking event held at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, 3900 Wildlife Way, Cleveland, OH 44109. The in-person event includes a 5K run and a 1-mile walk. An awards ceremony is part of the event and official results are posted after the final participant finishes. In-person participation includes a T-shirt and free same-day entry to the zoo. Family pricing is available for the 1-mile walk.

Virtual participants can complete their chosen distance remotely during the event week and submit their time online; T-shirts for virtual entries are mailed before the event week. Spectator tickets are offered with and without a race shirt. Entry fees for individual events are listed on the event page.
Charity and sponsors
The event supports fundraising for programs that provide after-school places for kids ages 6-18 across Northeast Ohio.
