The EdFed Race for Education at the Superintendent’s 5K
The event takes place on March 7, 2026, at Maurice A. Ferre Park, 1075 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33132. It is hosted by the M-DCPS Foundation and is the 11th annual run/walk and family fun day organized to promote health and wellness in Miami-Dade County. Proceeds from 5K registrations benefit participating schools. In 2025, the event included 242 schools and 7,069 runners and walkers; participation has increased about 250% over the past decade. Awards are given to overall male and female finishers and to runners by age group.

- 5K - Adult and Student events
- 1 Mile - Timed event for ages 7-12
- Super Kid's Dash - Open to ages 2-9
Registration opens October 1, 2025. Listed prices start in a range of $15 to $35 for the 5K. Fees increase on November 1, 2025 to $20 for students and $40 for adults, and increase again on January 1, 2026 to $25 for students and $45 for adults. Kid event registration ends on March 7, 2026. The Super Kid's Dash shows 247 spots remaining. School team registration deadline is February 13, 2026; captain packet pick-up is scheduled for March 2 and March 3, 2026 at 1450 NE 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33132.
