The event features four specific races:
- Superintendent's 5K for adults.
- Superintendent's 5K for students.
- 1 Mile Kid's Run (Timed) for ages 7 to 12.
- Kid's Dash for ages 2 to 9.
Event Details
The 11th annual event is organized by the Miami-Dade County Public Schools Foundation. It is a run/walk and family fun day focused on promoting health and wellness. Participants typically include children, parents, guardians, teachers, and administrators from over 200 Miami-Dade County Public Schools.
Proceeds from the 5K race registrations directly benefit the participating schools. Awards are given for overall male and female runners and runners categorized by age group in the 5K events. In a previous year, 242 schools and 7,069 runners and walkers participated.

The event takes place at Maurice A. Ferre Park in Miami, Florida, on March 7, 2026.
Registration
Registration for individual participants is available on-site at the race venue on the morning of the event. A separate packet pick-up for school team captains is held at the MDCPS District Office (SBAB) in Miami on the Monday and Tuesday prior to the race.
