Race for A Blessing
St. Joseph Parish and School hosts its fifth annual 5k on August 22, 2026, in Avon Lake, Ohio. The event raises funds for the Blessing House in Lorain, which provides a safety net for families in crisis by offering shelter for children and support for their families. The organizer plans to donate proceeds to support the Blessing House mission.
Two event options are offered:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Walk
Registration fees are listed as $35 for the standard entry. Youth 18 and under can register for $25, with the discount applied automatically at checkout. Strollers and pets are welcome at the event.
Awards recognize overall finishing positions and age group leaders. Prizes include top three overall male and female, plus top male and top female in each age group: 19 and under, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over.
