Race for A Blessing
Race for A Blessing is a community fundraising running event held on August 22, 2026, at St Joseph Parish School, 32946 Electric Blvd, Avon Lake, Ohio 44012. The event raises money for the Blessing House in Lorain, which provides shelter and family support for children and families in crisis.
The event program includes two distances:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Walk
Registration fees are $35 for standard entries. Youth registrants aged 18 and under have a reduced fee of $25, applied automatically at checkout. Registration opens in April 2026 and closes on August 22, 2026.
Strollers and pets are permitted on course. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top finisher in each age group: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over.
The event is organized by St Joseph Parish as its fourth annual 5K fundraiser with the stated goal of making a donation to support the Blessing House mission and services for the local community. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
