BarnArts Race Around the Lake
BarnArts Race Around the Lake takes place on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at Silver Lake State Park in Barnard, Vermont. The event offers multiple race options:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 10K Run
- Virtual 5k or 10k
Race routes circle Silver Lake on town roads, dirt roads and single-track wooded trails with intermittent views of the lake.
Registration opens November 15, 2025. In-person registration closes May 8, 2026; virtual registration closes May 17, 2026. Participants registered by April 30 receive a Race Around the Lake T-shirt with their registration.
Post-race activities along the lakefront include a Chef's Table lunch, live music and awards. Awards are given to the top three finishers in each race and to top finishers in age categories.
Virtual participants complete their chosen distance on their own course and schedule while remaining connected to the event. Funds raised by the event support BarnArts youth programming and provide scholarship support for the Summer Youth Theater camp. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
