BarnArts Race Around the Lake - Barnard, VT
The BarnArts Race Around the Lake takes place on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Silver Lake State Park in Barnard, Vermont. The event offers in-person and virtual options that circle Silver Lake on a mix of town roads, dirt roads and single-track wooded trails with intermittent views of the lake.

Early registration pricing applies for in-person races through May 9: adult 5K $40, adult 10K $50, and all 12 and under $25 (age-based pricing is automatic). Virtual entry fees are listed as adult $25 and 12 and under $15. Registrations completed by April 30 receive a Race Around the Lake T-shirt.
Post-race activities are held along the lakefront and include a Chef’s Table lunch, awards and live music. Awards are presented to the top three finishers in each race and to top finishers in age categories. Course support varies by distance: the 5K includes one water station about one third of the way through, while the 10K includes additional water stations.
Proceeds support BarnArts youth programming, including Summer Youth Theater, scholarships, arts-in-education work in local schools and free youth choir offerings. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
