R2L Bridge Run 10K
The R2L Bridge Run 10K is an athletic event held on June 7, 2026. The course takes participants across the Lewis and Clark Bridge, which spans the Columbia River. The bridge was originally constructed in 1929 and stands 210 feet above the water. It is a historic cantilever truss span that connects the states of Oregon and Washington.
Participants begin the event at Rainier City Park in Rainier, Oregon. The route concludes at Martin's Dock located at Lake Sacajawea Park in Longview, Washington. The event offers a single distance:
- 10 km
Registration includes electronic chip timing for adult participants. A shuttle bus service is provided to transport participants between the start and finish areas at Lake Sacajawea Park. Children aged 10 and under can participate for free when accompanied by a paid adult registrant, though the free registration tier does not include chip timing.
Event materials such as race packets can be collected in person at the Recreation Office in Longview during the three days preceding the run. An option to have packets mailed is available for an additional fee if selected before the designated May deadline. All finishers of the 10K distance receive a participant medal. Participants may also purchase a long-sleeve, moisture-wicking race shirt in unisex, women's, or youth sizes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
