Queen Elizabeth Country Park Trail Run (QECP) - Hampshire
The event starts and finishes at Queen Elizabeth Country Park on the South Downs. Routes use the park's hard-packed off-road trail network and nearby paths through ancient woodland and open downs.
Runners pass through Head Down woodland, join sections of the South Downs Way, and return via the local Milky Way trail. Within the park all routes combine to run across War Down on tree-lined gravel tracks. The course includes rolling hills, varied off-road terrain and multiple surfaces that provide a mix of woodland paths, open trails and gentle climbs. Several viewpoints are encountered along the routes.
Three distances are offered:
- 21.6k Half Marathon, approx. +424 m elevation
- 15.2k Trail, approx. +328 m elevation
- 7.9k Trail, approx. +161 m elevation
Event services include chip timing, water stations on course, on-course first aid cover, marshals, a high-quality finisher medal, finisher goodies and a personalised certificate. The race is plastic free at water stations, so participants are asked to bring a reusable cup or bottle. Canicross entries are available with a one dog per runner rule; dog participants should bring water, poo bags, treats and an appropriate lead. Course signage uses pink arrows and pink tape; hazards and junctions are marked with caution signs. Parking at the venue is charged per car.
