Queen City Mile
The Queen City Mile is a one mile running event held in the Old First Ward neighborhood of Buffalo, NY on August 15, 2026. The course runs through the heart of the neighborhood and the event includes a separate kids race and heats split by gender.
Packet pickup and race day registration take place inside Resurgence Brewing in the beer garden. The event is presented by Checkers AC and is part of the USATF Niagara runner of the year series and the Buffalo runner of the year series.
Registration opens on January 26, 2026 and closes on August 15, 2026. The registration fee is $30.00. Registrations completed by July 31 are guaranteed a race shirt; a small number of shirts will be available for sale after the race.
Awards include custom barstools for winners. Prize money is paid only to winners who are members of the USATF Niagara association. After the race, participants and attendees may gather at Resurgence Brewing for beverages. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
