Queen City Mile

The Queen City Mile is a running event on 08/15/2026 in Buffalo, NY, centered on a one mile course through the Old First Ward. The event includes a separate kids race and heats split by gender. It is presented in association with a local running club and is part of the USATF Niagara runner of the year series and the Buffalo runner of the year series.

There are two entry options listed: the 1 mile Queen City Mile and a Triple Crown Series entry. Registration details from the organizer are:

  • Queen City Mile: registration opens 1/26/2026 and closes 5/22/2026; registration fee $30.00.
  • Triple Crown Series: registration opens 5/20/2026 and closes 8/14/2026; registration fee $70.00.

Packet pickup and race day registration will be held inside Resurgence Brewing in the beer garden from 4-6. Registrants who register by July 31 are guaranteed a race shirt; a small number of shirts may be available later for purchase.

Custom prizes are planned for winners. Prize money will be paid only to USATF Niagara association members who win, and there is a $100 course record bonus. The event aims to raise funds for two scholarships to be awarded in 2027: one week at Snyder Track and Field Summer Camp for a youth and one week at Blue Mountain XC Camp for a high school student.
