Purple Dress Run - Mansfield
The Purple Dress Run is an inaugural event on October 24, 2026, held at James McKnight Park East, 700 U.S. 287 North, Mansfield, TX 76063. The event is organized to raise awareness and funds to fight domestic violence. Funds raised will benefit Chozn 2 Outreach to provide household items and clothing for victims and their families.
Participants are invited to wear something purple, such as a purple dress, t-shirt, or costume, as a visible sign of support for survivors. The event includes in-person running and walking options as well as a virtual participation option.
Distances included in the in-person program:
- 1 mile (Purple Dress Run 1 Miler)
- 3.1 miles (Purple Dress Run 5K)
- 6.2 miles (Purple Dress Run 10K)
- 13.1 miles (Purple Dress Run Half Marathon)
A virtual race option is available for remote participants. A volunteer-then-run option combines event support duties, such as setup or packet pickup, with participation in a 5K.
