48th Annual Pumpkin Run by Senior Coastsiders
The event is organized by Senior Coastsiders in Half Moon Bay and offers multiple in-person distances plus virtual options. The start and finish are located at the Hatch Elementary School parking lot at 490 Miramontes Ave, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019. Portions of the course follow the Coastal Trail and run alongside the Pacific Ocean.

Virtual participants can complete events during the event period, upload finish times via the ASICS Runkeeper app or other run trackers, and print a finisher certificate. There are bundled virtual options that allow completing multiple distances during the event period. Virtual registrants who request mailed packets should register by October 4, 2026 to increase the chance of receiving their packet before October 17, 2026.
There is no parking at Hatch Elementary School. Paid parking options listed by organizers include Shoreline Station and lots adjacent to the school managed by the PTO. The event is not dog friendly for insurance reasons. Proceeds support Senior Coastsiders, a local nonprofit that provides resources and services for older adults on the Coastside, including daily lunch programs, Meals on Wheels, classes and home rehabilitation services.
