48th Annual Pumpkin Run by Senior Coastsiders - Half Moon Bay, October 18, 2026
The Pumpkin Run is a multi-distance road event held at Hatch Elementary School, 490 Miramontes Ave, Half Moon Bay, CA. Distances offered include:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
- Kids' Fun Run/Walk
- Virtual Run/Walk
The course uses the Coastal Trail, with portions running alongside the Pacific Ocean. Proceeds support Senior Coastsiders, a local nonprofit serving older adults on the coast from Montara to Pescadero and Skyline to the Sea. Senior Coastsiders provides programs such as daily lunch, classes and lectures, Meals on Wheels, and home rehab services.
Virtual participants may complete events during the virtual event period and can upload times via the ASICS Runkeeper app, manually, or with other run-tracker apps to receive a printable Finisher Certificate. Bundled virtual options are available, including the Pumpkin Run Trifecta and the Pumpkin Run Double Trouble. Virtual registrations completed after October 4, 2026 may not receive mailed packets before the in-person event period.
The event is not dog-friendly due to insurance reasons. Parking is not permitted in the Hatch Elementary School lot; Miramontes Avenue between Potter Avenue and Hatch Elementary is part of the route and should not be used for parking. Paid parking options listed by the organizer include Shoreline Station and PTO-managed lots adjacent to Hatch Elementary. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
