About the race
The 27th Annual Pumpkin Fun Run/Walk is organized by the Hewitt Area Volunteer Fire Department and takes place at Yellowstone Park Pavilion in Hewitt, Wisconsin on November 7, 2026. The event program on race day includes bib and packet pickup, a kids 1/2-mile run/walk, a 5K run/walk, and a post-race awards ceremony.

Registration options and fees for the 5K are listed: a base registration fee of $20, a 5K registration plus T-shirt package for $35, and additional T-shirts for $20 each. Registrants who register by October 16 are guaranteed their preferred shirt size; a limited number of shirts will be available on race day.
Awards include $50 cash prizes for the overall male and female winners. Medals are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each age group: 12 & Under, 13–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, 70–79, and 80+. The post-race gathering features an awards presentation, a meal, door prizes (winners must be present), and a community celebration.
Proceeds support the Hewitt Area Volunteer Fire Department, funding firefighter training, lifesaving equipment, and emergency response resources for Hewitt and neighboring communities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
