Pittsville Heart & Sole Road Race
The Pittsville Heart & Sole Road Race is an annual road race held at Riverside Park in Pittsville, Wisconsin. The event is a fundraiser for the Pittsville Volunteer Fire Department to support equipment purchases and community projects, including two college scholarships.
The event offers multiple race distances:
- 2 mile run/walk
- 5 mile run/walk
- Kids quarter mile free; no registration required
The course is an out-and-back route. Chip timing is used and split times are provided. Aid stations are available along the course. Awards are given to the top three finishers in each age group for men and women. A John Moen Memorial award recognizes a participant aged 70 or over.
Post-race arrangements include a gathering with complimentary refreshments. High school locker room showers are available to participants. The event supports the local volunteer fire department, which provides fire and emergency medical services to the city of Pittsville and to portions of Wood County.
