About the race
Pumpkin Dash is a running and walking event held on October 18, 2026 in Davenport, Iowa at 2200 W River Dr. The program includes road events for adults and short costume races for children.
Registration opens 7/16/2026 and closes 10/16/2026. Entry fees listed are $38.00 for the adult 4K and 8K events and $20.00 for each children's costume race.
Event highlights:
- 8K run with overall and age-group awards
- 4K run or walk
- 440 yards children costume run, age 7 and under
- 880 yards children costume run, ages 8 to 13
The 4K walk is a competitive category in which participants are not allowed to run. The 8K awards include prizes for the top three overall male and female finishers and designated awards for Masters (40+), Grand Masters (50+), and Senior Grand Masters (60+). Age groups for the 8K are listed in five-year bands from 19 and under through 80 plus; the number of awards by age group depends on participant numbers. The 440 yards children's race provides medals and goodie bags for all finishers. In the 880 yards children's race the top ten boys and top ten girls receive awards and all finishers receive medals and goodie bags. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
