Event Details
The Pueblo's Firecracker 5k is held on July 4. The race distance is 3.1 miles (5 km). It starts at the City Park Pavilion in Pueblo and follows the Arkansas River Trail.
Registration and Fees
Registration fees are listed as $9 for youth (ages 5-19) and $19 for adults. The price includes a processing fee.
Race Features and Rules
The event includes several features:
- Swag bags for participants.
- Prizes for the best red, white, and blue outfits.
- Finisher medals for the first 350 registered participants to cross the finish line.
- Age group placing medals.
- Music, booths, and a Kona Ice truck are present.
- One water station is located on the course and one at the finish line.
Course rules state that pets are not allowed. Strollers are permitted, but participants are advised that the course includes dirt terrain and a narrow concrete hill. Strollers are suggested to start at the back for safety.
Packet Pickup
Packet pickup is available on the Thursday before the race at Pueblo Subaru from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Race day packet pickup is at the City Park Pavilion from 6:30 AM to 7:45 AM.
Post-Race and Support
Participants are invited to enjoy Pueblo's Water Works Park after the race. The event is organized to support the Southern Colorado Runners Club, a non-profit.
