Overview
Providence Rhode Races is scheduled for Sunday, May 3, 2026, with the start and finish at Bold Point Park in East Providence, Rhode Island. The event includes in-person and virtual options and is paired with a Kids Fun Run - a one-kilometer out-and-back limited to children under age 10. The marathon course is USATF certified and serves as a Boston Marathon qualifier. The event is partnered with the Make-A-Wish foundation and is R.I. Department of Environmental Management Green-Certified.

Course and logistics
Courses pass through multiple Rhode Island communities, using bike paths, closed roads, the East Bay Bike Path, Blackstone Boulevard, the Henderson Bridge, and waterfront sections. Full and half marathon routes include an out-and-back on Blackstone Boulevard and portions along the riverfront. Aid stations are placed throughout the courses; some will offer Gu energy gels, Nuun electrolyte drink, bananas, and port-a-potties at every aid station. Packet pick-up is offered on the days before race day at Columbus Hall in East Providence, with on-site race-day packet pick-up by reservation. Shuttles, parking areas, and spectator locations are provided; access to Bold Point Park will be limited during the event.
Race rules, support and awards
Finishers must complete courses within set time limits: Marathon - 6 hours, Half Marathon - 3.5 hours, 5K - 1 hour. Pace groups will be provided for the full and half marathons. Participants receive gender-specific tech shirts, free race photos, and finisher medals for the marathon and half marathon. A post-race festival and recovery services, including free post-race massages and a complimentary beer for participants of age, are provided.
