Event overview
Providence Rhode Races is scheduled for Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Bold Point Park in East Providence, Rhode Island. The event offers in-person and virtual distances and routes that pass through multiple Rhode Island communities, including riverfront bike paths, Blackstone Boulevard, the Henderson Bridge, East Bay Bike Path, and a waterside finish at Bold Point Park. The marathon course is USATF certified and designated as a Boston Marathon qualifier. The event is Green-Certified by the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management and directed by an RRCA certified race director. Organizers state the event is held rain or shine and that refunds are not issued; severe-weather cancellations may occur without refunds.

Course, logistics and participant information
Packet pick-up is available on the days before the race, with an option for reserved race-day packet pick-up. Marathon, half marathon and 5K courses all start and finish at Bold Point Park. Participant parking locations are designated by distance: Bold Point Park for full marathon participants and the office park at 450 Veteran’s Memorial Parkway for half and 5K participants; street parking is allowed where posted. Roads along the route remain open with minor restrictions; Bold Point Park is closed during the event.
Amenities and race support
Aid stations are located throughout the courses; some stations offer energy gels, electrolyte drink and bananas, and port-a-potties are provided at every aid station. Pace groups will be available for marathon and half marathon distances. Race amenities include gender- and race-specific tech shirts, free race photos, live athlete tracking via RaceJoy, a post-race festival with food and a beer for participants of age, and free post-race massages.
