Providence Rhode Races - Providence, RI
Providence Rhode Races is a multi-distance road race event held Sunday, May 3, 2026, with start and finish at Bold Point Park in East Providence. The event features races that run through Providence and neighboring communities, including waterfront sections, parks and tree-lined residential streets.
Distances include:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 5K
- Kids Fun Run 1k (limited to children under age 10)
The marathon course is USATF certified and serves as a Boston Marathon qualifier. Course routes travel across the Linear Park bridge, along India Park, Blackstone Boulevard, the Henderson Bridge and the East Bay Bike Path, and include a loop through Barrington near the RI Country Club. Aid stations are placed along the courses and some will offer energy gel, electrolyte drink and bananas; port a potties are provided at each aid station. Pace groups are organized for the half and full marathon. Official course time limits apply for finisher recognition: marathon six hours, half marathon three and a half hours, 5K one hour.
Event amenities include race specific tech shirts, finisher medals for the marathon and half marathon, free race photos, live runner tracking via RaceJoy, a post race festival with food, a beer for participants of legal age and free post race massage services.
