Prickly Pine Jackpot 24 Hour Solo/Relay

The event takes place May 2-3, 2026 in Dousman, WI, at S57W35510 County Road ZZ. It includes five timed events: 6-hour race, 12-hour race, 12-hour relay, 24-hour solo, and 24-hour relay. The start and finish are at the DJ Mackie Picinic Area. The course uses sections of the Scuppernong Trails, the Ice Age Trail, and the Southern Kettle Moraine Forest, including some of the highest elevations on the Kettle course.

Course format and prizes

The course is organized into three loop options:

  • Loop #1 - 3 miles
  • Loop #2 - 6 miles
  • Loop #3 - 9 miles

Runners may repeat any loop; each completed loop counts toward a competitor's total. If a loop is not finished when time ends, that loop does not count. For the 24-hour solo and relay events, 25% of each registration fee is added to a Jackpot purse. Solo Jackpot distribution is: 1st = 50%, 2nd = 30%, 3rd = 10%, 4th = 5%, 5th = 5%. The relay Jackpot is awarded entirely to the winning team; in the event of a tie, teams choose one runner for a final lap on the 3-mile loop.

Logistics and amenities

A Wisconsin State Forest parking pass is required. The first 30 24-hour solo and relay registrants receive a reserved 12'x12' gear drop spot near the start/finish. There is a designated camping area near the start/finish for 24-hour solo and relay participants at no charge.
