Events
The event offers several formats. Participants can enter a 6-hour race, a 12-hour race, a 24-hour solo race, a 4-person 12-hour relay, or a 4-person 24-hour relay.
Course and Format
The race takes place in the Kettle Moraine State Forest, using the Scuppernong Trails and parts of the Ice Age Trail. Instead of a single fixed loop, runners choose between three different loop lengths each time they start a new lap. The loops are 3 miles, 6 miles, and 9 miles. Only fully completed loops count toward the total mileage. All events start and finish at the DJ Mackie Picnic Area.
Prizes and Jackpot
There are cash prizes funded by a jackpot. For each 24-hour solo participant and 24-hour relay team, 25% of their registration fee is added to the respective prize pool. For solo runners, the jackpot is split among the top five finishers based on total miles. For the 24-hour relay, the winning team takes the entire relay jackpot. Specific tie-breaking rules are described for both categories.
Participant Amenities
The event includes a variety of participant items depending on the race entered. Common items include a finisher's medal, a 24 oz sports bottle, and a cooling towel. Runners in the 12-hour and 24-hour events who complete over 50 miles also receive a special belt buckle. 24-hour solo participants receive a duffle bag. A free camping area near the start/finish is designated for 24-hour participants. A Wisconsin State Forest parking pass is required for vehicles.
